Welcome to my practice.  I’m Lisa. I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist based out of Los Angeles. I am currently accepting new clients for virtual sessions.

My goal is to provide a supportive and compassionate environment where we will explore your questions, emotions, life stage problems, lived experiences and traumas. Together we will discover what unconscious patterns are keeping you stuck from finding purpose, meaning, and joy; and we will explore new supportive ways for you to show up in your life.

About Lisa

I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (Lic No. 136293) and a speciality in Depth Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. While gathering hours for licensure, I completed a year of clinical training through Da Vinci High School. At Davinci High School, I performed therapy with high school students supporting them in navigating this often-tumultuous time of life. Additionally, I trained with Antioch University Counseling Center working with adults, adolescents, and children.

Prior to my psychology training, I received a Grief Specialist Certification through The Grief Recovery Center in Sherman Oaks, California. I integrate the skills I learned there into my private therapy practice when working with grief and loss. Additionally, I received special training and certification through Our House Grief Support Center in Los Angeles, California.

Finally, I completed training with Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute (Level 2 SEP) and often use this approach for trauma work.

My approach is Humanistic and Jungian. This includes creating a warm, compassionate and safe environment where you will feel heard and listened to. I will help you solve problems and explore yourself knowing that the solutions come from within you. Having an opportunity to explore fears, anxieties and desires with a listener is healing. I will listen and provide you responses and a reflection of what I’m hearing.

As a trained grief specialist, I specialize in grief and loss work with adults, teens, and adolescents. I believe the relationship between a client and therapist is essential in creating personal healing. I nurture a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings with the reassurance that there is no one right way to grieve.

I offer a free initial 20 min phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Fees are $200 per 50 minute video virtual or phone sessions.  Cancellation policy is 24 hours.  Currently, I am not contracted with any health insurance companies. If you’d like to use your insurance,  I can provide you with a superbill which you can then submit for reimbursement.

As Carl Jung said, “The personalities of doctor and patient are often infinitely more important for the outcome of the treatment than what the doctor says and thinks … For two personalities to meet is like mixing two different chemical substances if there is any combination at all, both are transformed. In any effective psychological treatment the doctor is bound to influence the patient; but this influence can only take place if the patient has a reciprocal influence on the doctor. You can exert no influence if you are not susceptible to influence.”
